Rachmaninoff is a one-of-a-kind, regular-sized Signature Series amplifier hand-turned from black walnut.
This piece has an incredible amount of movement. Rich chocolate-brown heartwood flows through the body in long, sweeping lines, while lighter tones and areas of figure create depth throughout the horn. Most striking is the dark natural streak that travels almost the entire length of the piece, winding through the grain and giving Rachmaninoff a dramatic character that changes depending on the angle and light.
Near the horn, the grain tightens and curls around the natural features of the wood, creating small areas of beautiful figure that almost appear three-dimensional beneath the polished finish. Nothing about this piece is perfectly uniform—and that's exactly what makes it special.
Like the composer whose name it carries, Rachmaninoff is dark, dramatic, complex, and full of movement.
