Please look at ALL pictures before purchasing this one as there is a section of rot running through this unique piece.  Hand-turned from flaming box elder, this regular size phone amplifier carries a remarkable story. The tree it came from grew beside a barn that was set ablaze by arsonists. To stop the fire from spreading, the tree had to be cut down — but its striking, flame-like grain was salvaged and given new life. The natural red patterns reflect both the heat it endured and the beauty that emerged from it. A piece of resilience, transformed to share sound and story in one form. As you can see in the pictures, this amplifier has succumbed to a small amount of rot, resulting in a natural hole on the back of the stand.
