I call this tool, "The Perfect Tenon". It is the single most impactful tool I have come across in terms of how it has helped my turning and hollowing to improve.

Divider sizers allows you to easily set wood turning dividers to the correct width to match the chuck jaws you are using. Sold as a pair one for setting tenon (marked NT) and the other for mortis (marked NM) for the most common Nova Chuck jaws 35, 50, 75, 100, 130. This divider sizers is specifically designed to work with Nova chucks and jaw sets.
Simple to use, select the correct style for the chuck mounting (tenon or mortis), find the correct section to match the jaws of the chuck you are using and expand your dividers in the chanel.
While turning a tenon or mortis use the knotched ends to check the angle and the depth for the tenon/mortis. Nova 35 & 50 mm jaw sizes use straight tenon, 75 mm plus use the angled tenon.
Each Divider Sizer has two magnets on the bottom of secure holding on a lathe bed and can easily be stored on the side of a lathe for quick access.
