This handcrafted medium cutting board combines four dramatically different hardwoods to create a piece with exceptional natural color and grain movement. Rich reddish-orange padauk frames the board along the top and bottom, immediately giving it a bold, warm appearance. Through the center, highly figured black limba brings some of the board’s most distinctive character, with dark streaks flowing through golden-brown wood in patterns that almost resemble a landscape.
A broad band of bubinga adds another layer of rich reddish-brown color and beautifully flowing grain, while thin strips of pale maple separate the darker species and provide crisp visual contrast.
What makes this board especially interesting is how different each section looks while still working together as a single design. The black limba is wild and unpredictable, the bubinga has long sweeping grain, the padauk provides rich color, and the maple creates clean dividing lines between them.
A routed juice groove surrounds the working surface, making the board as functional as it is decorative. It can serve as an everyday cutting board, carving board, or an impressive presentation piece for charcuterie and entertaining.
Best of all, every color and pattern you see is natural to the wood—no stains or dyes are needed to create this combination.
