Handcrafted from an exceptional piece of black walnut, Refuge features rich chocolate heartwood, warm streaks of sapwood, and intense rippling figure that shifts across its oversized form. Swirling grain and areas of chatoyance give the piece remarkable depth and movement as the light changes.

Most distinctive is the natural deformation on the back of the amplifier, where the tree’s growth altered what would normally be a symmetrical shape. Rather than removing that irregularity, we preserved it as part of the piece—a visible reminder that some of the most interesting character in a tree comes from the way it adapted as it grew.
