What immediately sets this amplifier apart is a striking natural bark inclusion that runs through the base and continues into the body of the piece. Formed as the tree grew around a trapped section of bark, this rare feature remained hidden for decades before being revealed on the lathe. Rather than remove this evidence of the tree's history, we carefully preserved it, allowing one of nature's signatures to remain part of the finished work.
Throughout the piece, dark heartwood blends into warm golden highlights while subtle figure and movement ripple across the surface. The bark inclusion acts almost like a fault line through the grain, creating contrast and depth that cannot be duplicated.
Unlike ordinary lumber selected for uniformity, this piece was chosen because of its individuality. Every color shift, grain pattern, and natural feature was preserved as the amplifier was shaped by hand, revealing beauty that had been hidden beneath the bark for generations.
